Wow. This threw me for a loop. I am sad. As a Packer fan, I really think he had two/three more years in him. The weird thing is watching Brett all these years; every interception, touchdown, fumble, SuperBowl win, SuperBowl loss, I really feel like I knew him. At the end of the day, Favre exemplified on the field and off the field what you want your hero to be.
In my lifetime, two of my favorite teams have produced two legendary Hall of Fame athletes in Michael Jordan and Brett Favre. Sometimes you take it for granted that they will be around forever but they won’t. What are the chances ESPN is going to be calling Favre’s agent asap for a spot as an analyst? 100% but ya know what? Brett will say no because he would prefer to be riding his tractor in Mississippi instead. Got to love the simple guy. See ya Brett, you will be missed!
